Mayor Anthony Williams Announces Start of K Street
(Washington, DC) - Mayor Anthony Williams is pleased to announce the beginning of filming for K Street, the groundbreaking series by HBO that will be based out of Washington, DC. This unique series is the brainchild of George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh, as well as political legends James Carville and Michael Deaver.
K Street is a unique reality-based program that follows Washington, DC politics from inside the Beltway. The program follows real-life politics as well as real politicians interacting with a fictional political consulting firm in the District.
K Street is breaking new ground with the city. The show is embarking on a partnership with Metro to encourage its production team to use public transportation and sponsoring an internship program that will select one student from a DC-based college or university. This internship will allow him/her to see the inner-workings of a cable television show. It will also give the student hands-on experience in the actual production of a weekly series.
K Street is executive produced by Henry Bean, George Clooney, Mark Sennet and Steven Soderbergh. The co-executive producer is Grant Heslov. The producers are Michael Hissrich and Stuart Stevens. Consulting producers include Jon Macks, James Carville, Michael Deaver and Mary Matalin. K Street will air Sundays at 10:35 pm on HBO.
